Unlock Funding for Your Renewable Energy Installation
Investing in renewable energy is not only good for the environment, but it also offers significant savings on energy bills, and there are many government-supported grants and incentives available to help make your move to a greener, more sustainable future more affordable.
Smart Export Guarantee (SEG)
The SEG is a government scheme that ensures homeowners and businesses who generate renewable electricity (such as from solar panels) can earn payments for exporting excess electricity to the National Grid. To benefit from SEG your installation must have been carried out by a Flexi-Orb Installer or an MCS Installer. All EPVS Members are either Flexi-Orb Certified or MCS Certified.
For more details, please see the official government website. You can view current export rates on the Flexi-Orb SEG page.
Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS)
The BUS is a government initiative designed to support homeowners in transitioning to more energy-efficient heating solutions. The scheme provides financial incentives for replacing inefficient boilers with modern, low-carbon alternatives such as heat pumps and advanced gas boilers. By upgrading your boiler under this scheme, you may benefit from reduced energy bills, lower carbon emissions, and enhanced home comfort. The BUS aims to help homeowners make sustainable choices and contribute to the UK’s net-zero targets.
For more details on eligibility and how to apply, visit the official government website.
Energy Company Obligation (ECO)
The ECO scheme is a UK government initiative designed to help reduce energy bills and carbon emissions by improving the energy efficiency of homes. Funded by major energy suppliers, ECO provides eligible households with free or subsidised insulation, heating upgrades, and other energy-saving measures. The scheme aims to assist vulnerable and low-income families, improve overall household energy efficiency, and support the UK’s commitment to environmental sustainability. It’s a practical way for households to lower energy costs while contributing to a greener future.
For more information, please see the official Government webpage on the ECO scheme.
Note: EPVS does not validate ECO-funded installations.
