How would EPVS membership benefit me and my business?
EPVS membership offers numerous benefits that can help grow your business and enhance your reputation. It demonstrates your commitment to high standards and honest sales practices, which builds trust and credibility with customers.
As a certified EPVS installer, you can offer independently verified performance and savings estimates, providing peace of mind to your customers, and our ongoing support and guidance can help ensure your business remains compliant with industry regulations, supporting sustainable growth and long-term success.
What is the application process for membership?
Following an initial enquiry, interested installers will be asked to submit a full application and provide various supporting documentation, including copies of relevant certificates and example contractual paperwork. See our Application Process for full details.
What are the key requirements for becoming a member?
Applicants must hold relevant industry qualifications and be MCS or Flexi-Orb Certified. They must maintain appropriate insurance coverage, use industry approved calculations and be a member of a CTSI Approved Code. For further information and details of approved quotation and calculation software, please see our Membership Requirements page.
What is the ongoing validation process?
The process for validating a contract starts with you uploading the necessary documents to our Validation Hub. You’ll have to include contracts, detailed quotes, calculations, and supporting documents like survey images and bills.
Once our validation team has reviewed your submission, they will either validate this on the portal, which will generate a validation certificate, or they will provide you with detailed feedback on any further information or amendments required.
On occasion, our team may need to contact your customers to conduct compliance calls. This is generally to verify installation details and confirm they understand the benefits and savings they have been quoted. We’ve found that this is a great way of consolidating the sale with the customer.
Read more on our validation process here.
How are consumer disputes handled?
Disputes are generally managed through your Consumer Code, following its CTSI Approved Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) process. However, depending on the type of dispute, your Code may request assistance from EPVS (when the issue relates to the sales and design process), or your Certification Body or Competent Person Scheme (when the issue is related to workmanship).
How does EPVS support its certified installers?
In addition to marketing support, ongoing compliance monitoring, and our validation guides, we are always on hand to help support you with any issues which may arise during the validation process and will work with you to ensure you continually meet industry standards and improve your service delivery. We’re also happy to work directly with your customer, supporting your sale with independent verification of your design and performance estimates.
What type of contracts do EPVS validate?
EPVS validates able-to-pay, finance, and lease contracts.
