We have all been encouraged to reduce our carbon emissions and our fuel consumption by installing renewable energy and energy-efficient products in our homes. By doing this we, as a nation, will be helping to reduce our planet’s carbon footprint.
But how much difference does the installation of heat pumps, solar PV and energy-efficient windows and boilers really make to our planet? How many tons of CO2 can really be saved by making the switch to greener energy solutions? Well, earlier this year, we put together a paper explaining just that.
EPVS Managing Director, David Lindsay, said:
The installation of heat pumps, solar PV and energy-efficient boilers and windows are all great ways of reducing the amount of CO2 emissions produced by your home, all helping to reduce the carbon impact on the environment. In the right circumstances, installation should also reduce energy bills too – often significantly.
